THEME OF THE 31ST MEMC WEEK: Promoting ,Partnering and Pioneering Progressive and Ethical Mining Methods for a More Environmentally Friendly and Sustainable Future.
The 31st Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Week 2023-24 commenced with a new initiative that involved flagging off all Evaluation teams from Suarashtra Cement -Sidheegram on 16 th January 2024. This year’s MEMC Week also highlighted recent technological advancements in the field of mining, such as drone survey and mine plan approval systems. A total 74 number of mines participating major minerals were nominated, evaluated, and observed during the MEMC week, which took place from 16th January to 24th January 2024. We are honored to announce that M/s Saurashtra Cement Limited-Sidheegram had the responsibility of organizing the MEMC week and hosting the prize distribution ceremony.
NavaChar -Friendly Cricket Tournament (18-02-2024) A Special initiative by IBM Gandhinagar and MEMC COUNCIL 2023-24 for community engagement , organized a Friendly Cricket Tournament among community ,participating mines and organizers to promotes physical fitness and encourages bond and collaboration between different stake holder with fostering Mining with Sustainability .
